Cure Breast Cancer Foundation Prepares to Host Two Fun-Filled Fundraising Events in May and June

Cure Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) is preparing for two exciting fundraising events in the weeks ahead.

MEDIUM FlywheelUp first will be a special fitness class with Jena Karp, one of the most popular Flywheel instructors and a breast cancer survivor herself.  Ms. Karp will host a special 45-minute indoor cycling experience to raise important funds and awareness for the Clifton, N.J.-based non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization.

“Save The Tatas With Jena” will take place on Sunday, May 15th at Flywheel Sports-Tribeca located at 415 Greenwich Street, NY, NY. 100% of the proceeds from the event will be donated to Cure Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF), which solely supports breast cancer research efforts under the direction of Dr. Larry Norton, the Deputy Physician-in-Chief for Breast Cancer Programs and the Medical Director of the Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

The initial 1 p.m. session has been completely reserved.  Limited seats are still available for the 2 p.m. session with class fees starting from $40.  For more information and to register for “Save The Tatas With Jena”, visit WWW.SAVETHETATASWITHJENA.SPLASHTHAT.COM.

MEDIUM 2016 GolfUp next will be CBCF’s most popular and successful fundraising event, the Annual Golf Classic.   Held yearly at the Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell, N.J., site of the USGA 2012 Men’s Senior Amateur Championship, the 2014 MGA Mid-Amateur Championship and one of Golf Week’s “Top 100 Classic Courses in America,” the event has raised millions to assist the efforts of Dr. Norton, who is leading the fight against breast cancer with trailblazing work, and has discovered that cancer cell mobility and the interactions between the cancer cell and its microscopic environment are the key pathways to understanding and eventually eradicating breast cancer.

The 9th Annual Golf Classic will take place on Monday, June 13th 2016.  The daylong event tees off with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.

Registration and brunch will begin at 10:30 a.m.  An $18,000 Winner Take All Chip Off and raffle drawing for a 2016 Ford Mustang convertible will also take place. The festivities will conclude with a dinner reception where Dr. Norton, the Foundation’s Scientific Advisor, will address guests.

Those interested in participating in the 9th Annual Golf Classic can call (973) 471-CBCF (2223) or email register@curebreastcancerfoundation.org. Continue reading
